SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service place created for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people SRD who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
